This concept is aimed at the MMM core market of younger males. It's essentially a lot of bite sized chunks - mixing up the genres of variety and reality.
Our show will be split into two halves, ‘radio show' and ‘radio life'
The ‘radio show' is a series of skits, talk and funny bits. A radio variety show.
‘Radio life' will be set around the radio station - beyond the booth. The ‘radio show' jocks are miked up and are in various situations - meetings with their producers, the marketing team, psycho sales guys, in the booth doing voice overs for advertisers, talking at the water cooler with the other radio jocks etc.
Rather than use improvisation, each component of ‘radio life' is scripted and acted. They contain their own characters, such as the pushy producer, over-exuberant sales guy and slightly anal advertiser.
We will weave the ‘radio life' bits in with the ‘radio show' bits to create two distinct halves working together as one seamless piece of content.
